Resident Evil Village is now fully playable in VR on PS VR2
Resident Evil Village has just released it’s VR Mode, allowing you to experience Capcom’s latest horror experience in a new and immersive way.
If you’re looking to get up close and personal with some horrifying imagery and having a spooky old time, you’re in luck. Resident Evil Village has just been updated with full PlayStation VR2 support through free DLC that’ll allow you to dive into the world of Resident Evil through your fancy new headset.
There is absolutely no extra cost for acquiring this piece of DLC (apart from the cost of buying a PSVR2 set), so if you’ve been looking to try it out and have the hardware for it, you should be able to simply download the update and start playing. Do remember however that you won’t be able to continue an existing save, instead needing to begin a new file to play in virtual reality from the start.
The Resident Evil Village VR Mode supports the full story campaign following Ethan Winter’s journey to rescue Rose, his kidnapped daughter, sending him into a terrifying village full of monsters to face off against a mysterious all powerful villain and four grotesque and powerful lords, each with unnatural powers that are sure to give players something to remember. Doing all of this in VR is not something that some people would enjoy, but then again, Lady D was pretty popular when she was revealed. We’re guessing some people are going to be really happy about this new opportunity.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is also getting a VR Mode
As if this news wasn’t enough, Capcom has also announced that development has begun for Resident Evil 4’s VR Mode. This content will be available for free after the release of the long awaited remake, and it’ll be available for all PSVR2 owners to enjoy. No more details about the mode have been released, but Resident Evil 4 is bound to be released on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
