PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium games for March 2023 revealed

Sony has gone ahead and revealed the next games that will be given away for free to all PlayStation Plus Essential and Extra subscribers in March 2023. While the announcement usually comes a little bit later in the month, this time they decided to announce them during the company’s most recent State of Play presentation, right in the middle of the rest of the announcements.

This time, the free game lineup for PS Plus Essential subscribers is comprised of only three titles, but they’re still pretty varied.

PlayStation Plus free games for March 2023

The free PS Plus games for March 2023 are:

  • Battlefield 2042
  • Minecraft Dungeons
  • Code Vein

All three of these titles will be available to claim and download from March 7. Battlefield 2042 will be available in both its PS5 and PS4 versions, while the other two titles only include the PS4 versions, since they haven’t been given a console update. However, all three of these games are fully compatible with PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility, so owners of Sony’s new gen console shouldn’t have any problems while trying to enjoy these titles.

PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for March 2023

In a surprising turn of events, PlayStation decided to show off a few of the games that’ll be added to the higher subscription tiers’ game catalog in the upcoming month. Usually we have to wait even longer, but they were revealed alongside the previously mentioned titles. Here’s the lineup so far:

  • Tchia (available on Launch Day)
  • Rainbow Six Extraction
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo

As is usual, this list may continue to be updated as the month progresses, so keep an eye out for more titles to be added to the service.
