Mario Kart 8 Deluxe confirms the release date for the fourth wave of Booster Course Pass with a nostalgic trailer
Several classic tracks from the franchise return in the fourth wave of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still in the game. The latest installment of the series, which will celebrate 10 years since its original release on Wii U in 2024, continues to show signs of being in top form. Nintendo has confirmed that Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass will arrive on March 9 adding new content to the game. You can watch the trailer below.
What tracks are included in Wave 4 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
This extra content includes eight tracks spread across two different cups where, as on previous waves, will have classic and new tracks added to the list available to players. The Fruit Cup includes Amsterdam Drift (Mario Kart Tour), Riverside Park (Mario Kart Super Circuit), DK Summit (Mario Kart Wii) and Yoshi Island, a brand-new track. Meanwhile, the Boomerang Cup offers Bangkok Rush (Mario Kart Tour), Mario Circuit (Mario Kart DS), Waluigi Stadium (Mario Kart Double Dash) and Singapore Speedway (Mario Kart Tour).
Also as part of this Wave 4, Birdo will be added to the roster in different color variants, expanding the classic characters of the franchise. The arrival of this fourth wave of DLC marks the halfway point of the planned extra content for the game. For the rest of 2023, two more installments are expected to be released, filling the quota of 48 tracks added by the Booster Course Pass.
The Extra Tracks Pass can be purchased on the Nintendo eShop for $24.99 USD, or if you haven’t jumped into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you can purchase it with DLC included for $84.98. If you are a member of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, you will have access to it for as long as you keep your subscription active. Right now, you can play the first three installments, which include 24 tracks spread across 6 cups.
