Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom promises that gameplay can change the game’s world

Eiji Aonuma, producer of the upcoming Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is teasing how the world in the game can be changed by gameplay, and he’s certain players will love it.

With only two months until the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are still a lot of secrets to be revealed. Meanwhile, producer Eiji Aonoma attended the Famitsu awards gala, where he received the award for most anticipated video game of the year. In his speech (translated by Genji JPN), the person in charge of the Zelda franchise revealed that the title will implement gameplay that will allow changes to the world.

“In the sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, furthermore, the players free imagination will be filled with new gameplay that will bring about changes to the game world.” In addition, Aonuma has been hopeful that this news would leave fans “pleasantly surprised,” all while exploring a Hyrule that is in an “unknown” state.

The Nintendo website hints at DLC for Tears of the Kingdom

Nintendo has not announced the post-launch plan for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but the official website gives clues about the possible arrival of DLCs or expansions. As can be read, "Full version of game required to use DLC for that game." which can be purchased separately. Many of Nintendo’s titles receive Expansion Passes, as also happened with Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will go on sale on May 15 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. It is a sequel to Breath of the Wild, which will follow in the footsteps of the previous game in regards to its gameplay structure. We will once again embark on an open world adventure that will take us to the kingdom of Hyrule and its surroundings. We will also be able to look and rise to the very skies.
