As Resident Evil 4 Remake arrives, we take the opportunity to take a look at all the series and movies in Capcom's horror saga and where you can find them.

Update:
Resident Evil: All the movies and series and where to watch them

Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of the most outstanding releases of 2023. It is not something that surprises us, since we are talking about the new version of a video game that made history in 2005 and now allows us to return to the cursed city with Leon S. Kennedy in his mission to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the President of the United States.

Capcom's franchise is an icon of horror in video games, but it has also jumped to the big screen several times through a handful of series and movies. Have you seen them all? We take advantage of the arrival of the highly anticipated game to review them all and tell you where you can watch them online. From the original Milla Jovovich movie to the latest Netflix series.

Resident Evil Series

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

It premiered on Netflix - the platform where you can watch it - in 2021 and is an animated series set after the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Revelations. It has only one season and gives us the chance to see the meeting between Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy.

Resident Evil (2022)

It is also available on Netflix and this time it is a live-action series in which one of the main characters is Albert Wesker, played by Lance Reddick, the popular actor who unfortunately died a few days ago. The series has received strong reviews, although it brings an original story with a different point of view from what we are used to.

Resident Evil movies

Resident Evil (2002)

One of the most popular in the saga, starring the indestructible Milla Jovovich. It is available on Netflix. The story begins with an outbreak of the T-virus that originated in The Hive, a secret facility of the evil Umbrella Corporation.

Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse

It is a continuation of the first movie in which we see zombies on the streets of Raccoon City. This second part is available on Netflix.

Resident Evil 3: Extinction

Claire and Carlos team up with Alice on a new mission as the T-virus continues to spread after the Raccoon City incident. Unfortunately, this movie is not available on any streaming service.

Resident Evil 4: Afterlife

You can watch it on Netflix and although it's not the best-rated, it's interesting to see Alice trying to get revenge on the Umbrella Corporation. Also, the fact that Albert Wesker is the main villain is more than enough reason to watch it.

Resident Evil: Retribution

Non-stop action in the fifth installment starring Milla Jovovich, who returns to the skin of Alice on a journey through countries including Japan and the United States. You can watch it on Netflix.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

It is Jovovich's last movie, but the first in which, in addition to the zombies and creatures familiar to all fans of the saga, several giant monsters that have never appeared in video games are added. A good reason to watch it on Starz.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

With new characters and a brand new story, this is an adaptation that serves as a reboot of the saga. For now, this version of Resident Evil is only streaming on Starz.

Resident Evil animated movies

In addition to the live-action movies and series of the Capcom saga, there are also several animated movies. Most of them are not available on streaming platforms, but you can buy them in stores like Apple TV, Google Movies, Amazon, YouTube, and others.

  • Resident Evil Biohazard 4D-Executer
  • Resident Evil Degeneration
  • Resident Evil Damnation
  • Resident Evil Vendetta

Resident Evil: Death Island Release Date

It is an animated movie in which we will see Leon and Chris meet on a new mission and we will not have to wait too long to see it since its release date is scheduled for 2023. This movie looks like a tribute to the franchise, as many of the iconic characters of the franchise like Leon, Chris and Jill, will be present:
