How to make the Compost Bin in LEGO Fortnite: Requirements and uses
All about the new Compost Bin in LEGO Fortnite. How to build it, what materials you need, and what this new crafting bench does.
The new Fortnite patch 29.10 has brought new content to LEGO Fortnite, including the Compost Bin. This new workbench doubles as a garbage can to get rid of all those materials we no longer want and give them a new use. How to make the Compost Bin in LEGO Fortnite: How to unlock it and the materials needed.
The process for unlocking the Compost Bin seems a little unclear; for us, it was unlocked in the Crafting Bench tab after interacting with a Lumber Mill. If simply interacting with one does not unlock it, try making planks in it by introducing wood. Remember that the Lumber Mill is built with 8 Wood and 15 Granite.
Once we have unlocked your recipe, we will need 5 Plank, 2 Soil, 1 Sand, and 3 Fertilizer to make a Compost Bin. If you are having trouble unlocking the recipe, try to have all of these items in your inventory at the same time.
What is the purpose of the Compost Bin in LEGO Fortnite?
The Compost Bin serves a dual purpose in LEGO Fortnite. On the one hand, it serves as a garbage can to get rid of all the items we no longer want. For example, it is very useful for throwing away all the bones of the skeletons that attack us at night. On the other hand, it produces Biomass, Fertilizer, and Soil in different amounts depending on the materials we introduce.
The fertilizer and soil can be used to create crop plots where you can plant different seeds and thus have food. On the other hand, biomass is one of the materials needed to make Power Cells, which can be used to build and power vehicles.
Please note that the Compost Bin takes a long time to process materials, so it is recommended that you perform other tasks in the meantime.
Building the Compost Bin and obtaining Biomass is a prerequisite for building custom vehicles and gadgets, as Biomass unlocks the Power Cells needed to power custom mechanisms.
