Resident Evil 4 remake: how to unlock the infinite knife

The knife was made into one of Resident Evil 4 remake’s most valuable tools if you learn how to use it. Here’s how to get an infinite knife that never breaks.

Resident Evil 4 Infinite Knife guide

Resident Evil 4 remake is full of secrets and surprises, and one of the best you can get is a special knife that can become infinite, meaning it never breaks. In this small guide, we’ll tell you what you need to do to get the Primal Knife, which can be upgraded to become unbreakable.

How to get the Primal Knife in Resident Evil 4 remake and make it indestructible

Resident Evil 4 remake has an Extra Content Shop in the game through which you’re able to unlock character models, weapons, items, concept art, and more. One of these weapons you can get is the Primal Knife, which is actually the one Leon uses in the original game/timeline. To unlock it you need to destroy all 16 of the Clockwork Castellans hidden throughout the game.

Once this task is done, you just need to head into the Extra Content Shop, navigate to the “Weapons” tab, and unlock it for 1,000 CP. What this does is add the Primal Knife to the Typewriter Storage, which you can access (as its name implies) through every typewriter in the game. At first, it may only seem to be a slightly stronger Knife than the basic one, but by upgrading it at the Merchant you’ll be able to get an Exclusive Upgrade that makes it have infinite durability

You can get this by buying every upgrade of the Primal Knife, or by using an “xclusive upgrade ticket” you can trade for Spinels in the special Merchant shop. In any case, once you get the upgrade your Primal Knife will have infinite durability, which is also shown in the game’s interface.
