Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Event in Fortnite: Dates, How to Participate, and Free Rewards
All the changes and news from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga event in Fortnite: new Battle Mini-Pass, new quests, in-game outfits, and more.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga event has already arrived in Fortnite. It has brought many changes and new features to the game. Below we leave you with a summary of all these new features that will be available as part of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Event: Dates and How to Enter
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga event in Fortnite will run from February 9, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET through February 27, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET. These dates and times correspond to the following in the United States:
- 9:00 AM ET
- 8:00 AM CT
- 6:00 AM PT
To participate in the event, all you need to do is connect to Fortnite during this time to enjoy all the new features of the event.
New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Mini Battle Pass in Fortnite: price and all the rewards
One of the main novelties of this event is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Pass. As in previous occasions, it is divided into two halves: the upper half allows us to get free items by playing and completing quests, but to get those in the lower half we have to buy the mini-pass itself, which costs 1,000 V-Bucks (Fortnite’s virtual currency). To unlock the rewards, you will need to complete quests to get Ooze and thus advance in the minipass.
The big novelty of the Minipass is the two outfits of Shredder and Super Shredder. They are exclusive to the Premium Pass and we will not be able to get them any other way. We get Shredder if we buy the Premium Pass, and Super Shredder if we get 11,000 Ooze with the Premium Pass.

To get Krang’s back bling, we need to obtain blueprints by completing the various quest sets in the game.
Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrives in the store: this is the new outfit of Master Splinter
The mythical Master Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is coming to the Fortnite store as an outfit, here called Splinter. Below is a list of all his items:
- Splinter outfit + back bling Splinter’s Pack: 1.500 V-Bucks
- Pickaxe Splinter’s Staff: 800 V-Bucks
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and April O’Neil have also returned to the store as part of the event (they were first released in December 2023).
New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mythic Weapons and Items in Fortnite
The Cowabunga event brought new Mythic Weapons to Fortnite based on the four melee weapons used by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:
- Donatello’s Staff
- Leonardo’s Katanas
- Michelangelo’s Nunchakus
- Raphael’s Sai
They can be obtained by purchasing them from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vending machines or by opening supply drops that also look like turtles. They are the globes that randomly appear on the map as you progress through the game:
Pizza Boxes and Pizza Slices change their appearance to a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look. Also back is the Driftboard, Fortnite’s flying board, but this time with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look:
