‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ will have to wait, Game of Thrones spinoff delayed
The crows were sent with bad news.

Our return to Westeros will have to wait. While ’House of the Dragon’ is still on the horizon with its third season in production, the hope of seeing something related to Game of Thrones is pushed back to next year. The TV adaptation of The Hedge Knight, titled ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘, has been pushed back to 2026.
HBO will let the world of Game of Thrones in 2025 to rest
According to Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery announced today at its Upfront showcase in New York that the release date for ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ has been delayed. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that has yet to be released to the public. However, HBO Content Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys clarified that, although the release date is set for 2026, the show is expected to air in the winter, so we can expect to watch the series during the first months of the year.

At least, if George R.R. Martin likes it
Its author, George R.R. Martin, has spoken earlier this year in his blog about the series, praising it while giving interesting details about it.
The popular writer has already seen a preliminary version of the first chapter of the series, highlighting that he loves it and stating that its tone will be very different from what ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘House of the Dragon’ have shown: “You may find the tone quite different from that of GAME OF THRONES or HOUSE OF THE DRAGON; smaller in scale, more personal, with more humor, more focus on character… but there is danger and death as well. Lords and ladies and princes it has, but they share the stage with more smallfolk this time around.”
‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdom’ will arrive on MAX... HBO Max... HBO Turbo? Well, whatever it will be called, next year.
