A leak has confirmed Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition, which will include a 10-hour expansion
A leak has revealed that a new version of Hogwarts Legacy dubbed the Definitive Edition, is well on its way with a variety of updates and a full expansion.
It’s not the first time we’ve heard of it. Last June, Bloomberg published that Rocksteady —the studio responsible for the Batman: Arkham saga and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League— was working on a Definitive Edition of Hogwarts Legacy. The successful title from Warner Bros. Games set in the Harry Potter universe will have a sequel, but its launch is still very far away in time. Given this situation, everything seems to indicate that there will be new content soon. Insider Gaming has supported the Bloomberg leaks and has revealed that the title will have a story expansion of between 10 and 15 hours in length.
According to Tom Henderson’s media outlet, an expansion will be sold separately as DLC for those who already own a copy of the game. The Definitive Edition will reportedly include a new main quest, plus side quests, activities, and costumes. At the moment, the release date is unknown, although some sources consulted by Insider Gaming point to 2025. Regarding the price, it is suggested that it will cost between 20 and 30 dollars.
The Hogwarts Legacy sequel is “a priority”
Hogwarts Legacy was released in early 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The previous generation and Nintendo Switch versions came out later. Gunnar Wiedenfels, CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, referred to the video game sequel as follows: “Obviously, the successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of our big priorities in a couple of years”.
The title is set in the 19th century, during transformations that also affect the magical world. The protagonist, a student who enters Hogwarts at the age of 15, is in the middle of a conflict that is as dangerous as it is exciting. A dark wizard teams up with a renegade goblin to try to overthrow the established regime. Our character, capable of controlling ancient magic, will have to unravel a mystery to redirect the situation.
