One of the latest teasers for the new season of Fortnite reveals the possible return of Midas, one of the most popular characters in the franchise. In this news, we tell you everything we know about him:
Midas returns in the new season of Fortnite, according to one of the latest teasers
As always, when we are in the final days before the arrival of a new season of Fortnite, Epic Games is releasing teasers both on the game’s social media accounts and giving them to other content creators to publish and continue generating hype. One of these teasers posted by a content creator reveals the return of Midas’ Drum Gun.
It would be extremely strange if Midas’ personal weapon returned and he himself did not, which is why it is possible to assume that this emblematic character will be back in some form in the next season of Fortnite. Will we see a new iteration of Midas or will the original return?
Who is Midas and when did we last see them in Fortnite?
Midas is a character that was introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2, considered by many to be one of the best in the game. Midas was the leader of SHADOW, an organization of spies and secret agents who had a plan to stop the Storm that stalks the island, as we saw in the Device event.
Unfortunately, his plan went awry, and while he was able to eliminate the storm, a massive wall of water surrounded the island from Chapter 2 onward, causing a massive flood. Midas then appears in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 story trailer, where he appears to be swallowed by a shark.
His most recent plot-level appearance, if it can be considered canon, was during the Halloween 2020 event as Shadow Midas. This event, called Midas’ Revenge, put this character in charge of an army of ghosts that ravaged the island during those dates.
