A new image of GTA 6 has been leaked, and all signs point to the leak coming from the studio itself
The photo was allegedly taken in mid-2021 at the Rockstar Games offices.
Rockstar Games has had to deal with several major leaks. The studio was forced to contact the authorities when dozens of GTA VI videos were posted online. A group of hackers attempted to blackmail them, resulting in the arrest of the culprit. In the meantime, the developer has suffered several other leaks, including the first official trailer. Now, a Reddit user has posted an image and several videos, all of which have been deleted, although the screenshot is still available at the time of writing.
What makes it different from other leaks is that it appears to have been taken from inside Rockstar San Diego. It gives a glimpse of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S development kits, as well as various computers. One of them clearly shows Lucia, one of the protagonists of GTA VI, although the image doesn’t show anything interesting. According to the leaker, the picture was taken in the middle of 2021.
Who leaked the GTA 6 image?
“Someone I am close to took it when they worked at the Rockstar office for a few months,” wrote Reddit user JustLovett0. “He’s super far from Rockstar now, even though he no longer works there or in the same field. I’m not worried, but he’ll probably delete the post soon.” Indeed, the main post is no longer available, although the material was re-uploaded a while later. When you click on the links, you get a message that the content is not on the servers.
GTA VI will be released this year 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The PC version has not yet been officially confirmed, but Rockstar Games always releases its games on consoles first. At the moment, the specific release date on any platform is not known.
