Sandfall Interactive

A video game jewel: Clair Obscur presents pieces inspired by its protagonists

High jewelry merges with the fantasy of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes a step forward in its artistic proposal with a collaboration that mixes the world created by Sandfall Interactive and fine jewelry. Through a press release, it was revealed that the studio, along with its distributor Kepler Interactive, announced a partnership with renowned British jewelry designer Hannah Martin to create a series of pieces inspired by the video game.

The collaboration includes a total of five pieces of digital jewelry, each based on the game’s characters: Gustave, Lune, Sciel, Maelle, and Verso. These pieces fuse metal craftsmanship—with 18-karat gold and jet-black obsidian—in a proposal that seeks to translate the game’s settings and characters into real-world contemporary art. Sandfall Interactive managed to recreate these models within Unreal Engine 5.

Real jewelry, but not for sale

If you were already wondering where you could get these pieces of jewelry, we are sorry to say that they will not be available to the public. As part of this collaboration, 33 real necklaces inspired by the design associated with Verso were produced, crafted entirely by hand. These pieces were created to celebrate the launch of the game and will be given to community members and artists who have supported the development of the title.

A game that will sneak into the game of the year category.

In our opinion about the game, our colleague Vladimir Arteaga commented, “Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 undoubtedly transcends everything that composes it—the story, the visuals, its biomes, the incredible soundtrack, its dubbing, but above all, the love that has been injected into the art, which is reflected in the characters, enemies, and even the interface itself.”
