Star Wars

Ahsoka gets a new trailer and a release date on Disney+

Disney+ has confirmed a release date for Ahsoka, the newest Star Wars series centered on Anakin Skywalker’s padawan that continues Rebel’s story.

Update:
Ahsoka

The next big Star Wars series that we’ll be able to enjoy on Disney+ is Ahsoka, for which a new trailer has just been released that also reveals its release date: August 23. The trailer comes to us just one day after the menacing aspect of the Inquisitors in the series, who will be armed with their characteristic double bladed lightsabers, was shown.

Ashoka serves almost as a fifth season to Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni’s animated series also available on Disney+, and follows the adventures of the Jedi and team Ghost, who constantly face off against the Empire and its inquisitors. This show, however, takes place during the same era that The Mandalorian takes place (will there be a cameo?).

Who is Ahsoka Tano?

Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan., a Togruta Jedi who left the Order after being falsely accused of murder. She survived Order 66 and later discovered her master’s fate in becoming Darth Vader. Alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn and Tarkin, these villains served as Emperor Palpatine’s right-hand men. Many of these stories are explored in Star Wars: Rebels, an animated series you should definetely watch before enjoying Star Wars: Ahsoka.

2023 is also the year of Star Wars in video games

This year fans of the galactic saga are not only going to enjoy it in front of the screen, but they can also do it already behind their controllers, because about a month ago we enjoyed the launch of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, of which our resident Wookie expert, Borja Ruete, said the following in the MeriStation review:

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor goes a step further in all its sections. It respects the playable base of its predecessor, but enhances it with the most successful novelties and changes. The story goes deeper, it delves into the traumatic situations of its protagonists and the concept of family that unites them. At the playable level, the new stances (fighting styles) bring freshness and shape a more elaborate and precise combat system, which nevertheless continues to fail in closed spaces. The planets of the galaxy are structured around the greatly improved metroidvania formula compared to the first installment.
