Summer Game Fest

Alan Wake 2 reappears to show its first expansion and physical editions!

Night Spring will expand the story of Bright Falls, and Alan Wake II will finally be available in our hands with physical editions.

Max Payne

We already knew about them, but boy, were they long overdue. While we were late to see Alan Wake’s return after a little over a decade, its DLCs come to complement what was Remedy’s incredible comeback with the franchise. While it may have been a GOTY 2023 darling, its DLC looks set to put it back on everyone’s lips. Summer Game Fest 2024 was the place for the studio to show off something that we already knew by name, but that finally has a date and a price. Night Springs (DLC 1) will arrive tomorrow, June 8th, no price were given. Meanwhile, Lake House (DLC 2) still doesn’t have a release date.

Night Springs is based on the hilarious shows of the same name that we have seen on every single television in Bright Falls. It will consist of several self-contained episodes in which we will meet many characters from the Alan Wake universe for the first time.

And while the lack of second DLC information can be a lack of news, it balances with the announcement of physical standard and collector’s editions!

For now, it is the return of Max Payne

With Alan Wake 2 out of the way (and knowing that it is not the end of the franchise, but that its creator has asked for time to think about how to continue), Remedy’s plan is now to get right to work on the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2. The company is working on bringing back the king of action and superbness with a facelift, for which it has been leaked that they are handling a budget similar to that of Alan Wake 2. This means that we are facing another titanic work and who knows if it will be the prelude to a hypothetical Max Payne 4. In any case, good times are coming for lovers of narrative... and bullet time.
