SEGA has confirmed that the sequel to Alien Isolation will be developed by the same team that created the original game.

SEGA owed a debt of gratitude to fans of the Alien franchise. Although Alien Isolation had its detractors in its early days on the market, it has become a true cult game over the years. After years of absolute radio silence (and perhaps driven by the success of ‘Alien Romulus’), the tenth anniversary of its release has been accompanied by good news: Creative Assembly is working on Alien Isolation 2.

Alien Isolation 2 has now been confirmed.

Today I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien Isolation is in early development,” reveals Al Hope, creative director of the first installment, in a message celebrating the anniversary. “We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready.”

Among the fans of the license, there is a general feeling about which is the best game of the saga in the whole history. Almost all of them opt for Alien Isolation, which depicts an alternate history in which Ellen Ripley’s daughter searches for her mother in a station where she is not well received. The presence of an alien lurking in every air duct increases the tension as she tries to escape him in every moment where he is the protagonist.

This anniversary is celebrated with a campaign of very important offers. The full version with all the additional content can be found for less than 8 dollars on Steam. A low figure that reinforces what for many is one of the best horror games of the last 20 years. Almost nothing.
