There is still time to know what will be the next title in The Sims franchise, but for now, we know that the future of its current version, ‘The Sims 4, will be full of love, romance, and hot situations, thanks to the recent announcement by Electronic Arts.

What is The Sims 4 Season of Love and what will it contain?

Through a video on The Sims YouTube channel, the roadmap of the upcoming updates coming to ‘The Sims 4′, all with a romantic theme, has been revealed. “Make your move in a new season! We live for the drama of romance, so check back soon for more updates.

But what will this season include? On this occasion, we can expect:

  • 2 Destination Kits
  • 1 Flirtatious Expansion Pack
  • 2 Free Stylish Updates

For now, there are no further details on what each of these updates will include, nor when we will see them. On the other hand, the official Season of Love website does not contain many details about what we can expect, although the images we see allude to pools and bars. Although these elements are already part of the game, we will have to wait and see how these expansions plan to expand these places with activities and interactions between our Sims.

A step into the future of The Sims with Project René

While The Sims 4 shows that it still has a lot of life left in it, the future already points to a sequel that we don’t know much about yet, other than it will be a free-to-play experience. Project René as such was announced in 2022 so that the development, still in its early stages, would be in collaboration with the community. We even had a chat with Lyndsay Pearson, VP of Creative for the Sims franchise. Two years later, according to the leaked material, testing is still going on.
