New Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 map: Superhéroes
Superhéroes brings with it a brand-new map full of changes and new features:

As usual, this is a map that builds upon the one from the previous season, but adds and modifies certain locations. It remains a “conservative” map in the sense that the Star Wars locations from last season are still present. The theme this season is superheroes—or more specifically, young superheroes who have just discovered their powers—and this is reflected in several of the new locations, such as Supernova Academy, where they study and train to make good use of their new abilities.

The train that runs through the central sector of the island is still present, making it a contested area due to its easily accessible loot and its use as a fast means of transport across the center of the map.
In short, the new Fortnite season refreshes the map without drastic changes, but with enough new elements to keep players engaged. This season will follow the usual three-month duration, so it’s likely that we’ll see more changes to the island as time goes on. Below is a summary of the new zones:
Supernova Academy

Supernova Academy is the starting point for anyone with extraordinary powers who wants to begin training to become a hero—and the best place to learn how to face off against supervillains.
Utopia City

Life is (or rather, was) a pure dream beneath the elegant and serene skyline of Utopia City, which rises as a beacon of hope. Here you’ll find refined office complexes, carefully maintained parks and gardens, and plenty of loot to fight over.
Demon’s Domain

Danger hangs in the air at Daigo’s citadel, the mask maker’s stronghold, known as Demon’s Domain. From here, Daigo plots to seize the Academy and Utopia City by force. This crumbling fortress is the perfect place to hone your skills and train your supernatural powers!
Here is the complete list of named locations in the new season:
- Supernova Academy
- First Order Base
- Resistance Base
- Utopia City
- Shiny Shafts
- Canyon Crossing
- Crime City
- Outpost Enclave
- Demon’s Domain
- Kappa Kappa Factory
- Shogun’s Solitude
- Pumped Power
- Lonewolf Lair
- Flooded Frogs
- Shining Span
- Brutal Boxcars
- Foxy Floodgate
- Outlaw Oasis
New Weapons and Items in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Superheroes
Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite introduces many new additions in terms of weapons and items:
Superheroic Weapons and Items

- Krypto Treat: When used, Krypto, Superman’s dog, will come from the depths of the cosmos to devour it, dealing massive damage to anything or anyone nearby.
- Myst Form: Temporarily transforms you into a flock of shadowy crows that can maneuver over short distances. Can be combined with Myst’s gauntlets to become Ascended Myst, capable of dealing more damage and having longer-lasting invulnerability.
- Thundering Gloves: Allow you to create a sound wave that destroys structures, damages opponents, and pushes back anyone caught in its path. Its secondary fire lets you propel yourself through the air!
- Robin’s Grappling Gun: Lets you cover large distances quickly, useful for escaping the storm or making a spectacular superhero landing.
- Storm Beast’s Pom Poms: Transform you into Storm Beast, an unstoppable creature with high-damage attacks and the Storm Lash ability, which lets you perform annoying jumps for your opponents.
- Killswitch Revolvers: Dual pistols that allow for action-movie worthy moves. Dodge to avoid enemy fire and activate slow motion in mid-air for better shooting precision.
- Surf Cube: A cube-themed surfboard that lets you travel wherever you want in the blink of an eye.
- Tracking Visor: A high-tech visor that scans the battlefield to reveal opponent locations and show their footprints.
Fortnite’s superhero weapons and items are special gear representing the powers and abilities of the new Battle Pass skins. Thanks to them, we gain a significant advantage in battle, whether in mobility or firepower.
New Firearms

- Unstable Grip Shotgun: The first opponent hit when the magazine is full will be pulled toward you.
- Unstable Fire and Ice Shotgun: Each successful shot alternates between applying a burning effect to the shooter and a slowing effect to the target.
- Monolith Rifle: New Light Machine Gun with a large magazine that deals increased damage to structures.
- Accurate Designated Marksman Rifle: A new high-precision marksman rifle, perfect for taking out enemies from a safe distance.
- Unstable Shock Pistol: The first and last shot of each magazine triggers a shockwave effect at the point of impact.
- Hyperburst Pistol: New pistol that fires fast three-shot bursts.
The new firearms introduced this season keep the superhero theme. As such, they are high-tech weapons, and some come imbued with superpowers. Using them at the right time and situation according to their features will give us a decisive advantage.
New boons

- Storm Caller Boon: You gain shield while in the storm. The amount of shield restored increases with each heroic rank. At heroic rank S, it grants Storm Forecast.
- Speed Healer Boon: Allows sprinting while using healing items and then grants a boost. The duration of the boost increases with each heroic rank. At heroic rank S, you gain the boost immediately upon using a healing item.
- Combat Acrobat Boon: Performing parkour actions (like climbing, among others) partially reloads the equipped weapon. The amount of reload increases with each heroic rank. At heroic rank S, it reloads all weapons.
- Heightened Senses Boon: Marks players who attack you. With each heroic rank, marked players remain visible for longer. At heroic rank S, the cooldown is reduced.
After being absent during the ‘Star Wars’ mini-season, the Blessings are back. They grant us additional skills and powers that can help turn the tide of the match in our favor.

- Dash Sprite: Grants three time-slide charges to anyone within its effect radius.
- Superman Sprite: Destroys everything in front of it with its powerful laser beam eyes.
The sprites have been revamped for the new season, and now have superpowers that can help us in our matches. Finding these small and cheerful creatures may now be more crucial than ever to achieve the coveted Victory Royale.
New for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Heroic Rank

One of the most important new features of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is the Heroic Rank. When the season starts, we’ll be at Rank C, but as we perform heroic acts during our matches, we can climb up the Heroic Rank. These heroic acts include:
- Eliminating opponents
- Surviving storm circles
- Carrying a Spirit to a Sanctuary
- Eliminating Henchmen and Bosses
These are all the available ranks, along with the items we can find in the different Heroic Deposits scattered around certain points on the island:

Heroic Deposit Rank C
- Uncommon rarity weapon
- Uncommon rarity consumable
- Possibly a blessing!
Heroic Deposit Rank B
- Rare rarity weapon
- Rare rarity consumable
- High chance of a blessing
- Hero item
Heroic Deposit Rank A
- Epic rarity weapon
- Epic rarity consumable
- Guaranteed blessing
- Hero item
Heroic Deposit Rank S
- Legendary rarity weapon
- Legendary rarity consumable
- Guaranteed blessing
- Hero item
Although there is no Heroic Deposit for Rank S+, if we reach it, we will achieve our “final form,” unlocking all the blessings we might be missing.
Summary of the new season’s features in Fortnite
As you can see, Superheroes adds a good number of new features to Fortnite in the form of a revamped arsenal, new superhero skins, and the ability to perform all kinds of feats thanks to the introduced weapons and items. The new map has enough changes to keep the experience fresh yet familiar, and new features like Heroic Rank reward dedication.

Overall, it’s a good amount of content that will keep us glued to the controllers—or keyboard and mouse—for many hours as we complete tasks and various missions to progress through the Battle Pass and unlock everything. It’s a season with quite a few significant new features that doesn’t disappoint and will give a lot to talk about in the coming weeks.
