All the planets you can visit in Star Wars Outlaws: How big is the map?

It won’t be long until the game is released.

The release date for Star Wars Outlaws is fast approaching, and it couldn’t be more anticipated. It will be the first open-world game in the saga as such, although other titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have flirted with larger spaces. Chronologically, it is set within the classic trilogy, in the final stages of Darth Sidious’ regime. Many people have wondered what elements will appear in the game and what planets can be visited within it. Therefore, we are going to go through these questions and determine the size of the map.

So far, five planets have been confirmed for the video game, although there will actually be four and one moon: the Moon of Toshara. Below, we will take a look at each of these locations that will appear in Star Wars Outlaws:

Tatooine

We begin with perhaps the most mythical planet in the entire Star Wars saga, Tatooine. This is the land where Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker were born and raised, but also the place where Jabba the Hutt’s crime syndicate operates. In fact, Kay Vess, the protagonist, will be working for Jabba at some point in the game.

Akiva

This planet has only appeared in ‘Star Wars’ novels and books, so it will make its videogame debut in Star Wars Outlaws. Akiva is a nature-dominated, jungle-like planet, best known for its droid factories. According to Creative Director Julian Gerighty, “It’s a special place and the atmosphere we have there is phenomenal.

Kijimi

Kijimi is confirmed as it has appeared in numerous trailers and Gerighty has spoken about it. It is best known as the place where we first meet smuggler Zorri Bliss in Star Wars: Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker. Kijimi was a thriving place before bandit raids forced the inhabitants to flee. If you want to make some money in Star Wars Outlaws, this is your planet.

Cantonica

Cantonica is a haven for rich criminals. It started out as a place where even the commoners could hide, but eventually became a luxury resort for the wealthy. The protagonist of Star Wars Outlaws, Kay Vess, is a native of Cantonica, according to Ubisoft’s official website. So is Sliro, the leader of the Zerek Besh criminal syndicate.

Toshara

It is the only location that is not a planet, but a moon. In addition, the Moon of Toshara is a completely new location with everything to do with the ‘Star Wars’ universe and has been created specifically for the game. Creative Director Julian Gerighty confirmed that it will be a very large landscape and that there will be several settlements as well as a city called Mirogana. Its plains are similar to those of Savannah.

How big is the map?

According to Julian Gerighty, each moon is the size of two or three zones in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The developers focused less on the size of the terrain and more on how long it would take to traverse the map. Star Wars Outlaws will have approximately 30 hours of content in its main story, which will be increased by secondary content.

Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
