Star Wars
‘Andor’, the incredibly successful Star Wars spin-off, now has a release date for Season 2 on Disney+
The story of Cassian Andor will be completed with 12 new episodes in Season 2 of ‘Andor’, as the Star Wars spin-off prepares for release on Disney+
Rebellions take their time, but when the spark ignites, the fuse lights and the fire becomes unstoppable. In the midst of Darth Sidious’s reign, the galaxy is plunged into absolute tyranny. The Galactic Empire of the Sith Lord controls everything and crushes the opposition ruthlessly, as the emperor holds all of the power in his hands. In ‘Andor’, one of the most awarded series on Disney+, showrunner Tony Gilroy explores the Rebel Alliance and builds a network of spies that challenges the established order. After its successful first season, Lucasfilm has confirmed when the second and final season will premiere: April 22, 2025.
Cassian Andor continues his crusade against the Imperials in a 12-episode second season, which will take place at different points in time. Each three episodes will correspond to a different year, which will eventually take the narrative towards the events of ‘Rogue One’.
Curiously, the series has changed its logo and has introduced the subtitle that both ‘Solo’ and ‘Rogue One’ itself had. Thus, the new title of the series is ‘Andor: A Star Wars Story’.
Despite the failure of ‘The Acolyte’, canceled after just one season, Lucasfilm looks to the near future. In addition to the second season of ‘Andor’, Disney+ subscribers will be able to enjoy another ‘Star Wars’ series starting December 4. ‘Skeleton Crew’, a series of adventures in the purest style of ‘The Goonies’, in which a group of children will live galactic adventures that are as exciting as they are dangerous.
