Apple’s Vision Pro headset will have all of these streaming services available at launch
When Apple’s Vision Pro headset releases, users will be able to use a wide variety of streaming apps in Mixed Reality. They’ve now revealed which ones will be available at launch.
A new device is arriving very soon to be a contender for the throne of the best headset on the market, and taking into account their manufacturer and their price, they might easily become the favorites of AR/VR enthusiasts. We’re talking about the Apple Vision Pro, which will arrive this February in North American stores, specifically on February 2, 2024. But when it does, what will you be able to do with them?
Touted as a Mixed Reality headset, the Vision Pro is an entire platform that users will be able to enjoy both Augmented and Virtual Reality with through compatible apps. One of the categories of apps that have been the most talked about, however, is streaming services for video entertainment, as even the first trailers for the headset show owners enjoying movies in what is basically a personal home theater. Today, Apple revealed a list of apps of this kind that will be available to use on the Vision Pro when it releases next month.
Below you’ll find the full list of streaming services compatible with the headset at release (at least in the United States)
As well as the platforms on this list, users will be able to access TikTok, as well as sports apps like ESPN and MLB. Finally, over 150 3D movies will be supported on the device, presumably through the AppleTV app, which includes Dune, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
