Assassin’s Creed Mirage gets two long-awaited features
New Game + and Permadeath modes will be available in all versions next month.
Ubisoft has not neglected Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest video game in the franchise. The French company has announced a new free update, which will be available to players next December and will add two features highly requested by the community: a New Game + mode and the possibility of activating permanent death, always optional.
“We hear you: New Game + mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available in a free update this December. And for the expert Assassins, along with NG+ will come an optional permadeath mode also available across all difficulties!,” Ubisoft has posted on social media.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a more traditional AC game
Basim, a thief in the backstreets of 9th century Baghdad, fulfills missions for the Order of the Hidden. Eventually, he is recruited and trained in the legendary fortress of Alamut, stronghold of the Assassins. From then on, he must discover his destiny and true identity as he unravels the hidden mysteries of the Brotherhood.
As Ubisoft has explained, this installment leaves aside the RPG mechanics and opts for a more traditional experience and closer to the classic Assassin’s Creed formula, so it is supported by its three main pillars: assassinations, stealth and parkour. And is it up to standard? So far it has worked with the audience.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released last October on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. It will not be the only title in the saga to be released this year, as Ubisoft is preparing to launch Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, the original work for Oculus Quest 2, Oculus Quest Pro and Oculus Quest 3 starring three old acquaintances: Ezio Auditore, Connor Kenway and Kassandra.
