Assassin’s Creed Shadows first trailer teases a harrowing civil war in feudal Japan

The title formerly known as Codename Red finally takes Assassin’s Creed fans to feudal Japan.

Update:
Assassin's Creed Shadows

On the horizon, the rising sun. On the outskirts, fields and tori gates. Cities are made up of wooden buildings, protected by samurai warriors who serve their respective feudal lords. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the new installment in the franchise, goes back in time and takes place in a specific place on the map: feudal Japan. Previously known as Codename Red, this chapter takes place during a time of turmoil, the Sengoku period. As announced earlier this week, the first glimpse of the game was finally released today with an impressive cinematic trailer, which without further ado, you can watch below:

Two protagonists, one of whom is a historical figure

After the return to a more traditional formula in Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Shadows returns to the RPG mechanics embraced by modern installments. A huge open world, full of locations and activities for reality. The game will star two different characters: Yasuke, a real historical figure, is a samurai of African origin, the only warrior of this type without Japanese ancestry. He served with honor Nobunaga Oda, the architect of the territorial union of Japan in the 16th century. The second protagonist is called Noae and is a kunoichi, a ninja who uses the art of stealth to achieve her goals.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on November 15th on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. For the first time since the beginning of the generation, Ubisoft has not developed a version for PS4 and Xbox One, a growing trend among all companies. As usual, the French will offer several editions and a season pass that will include, among other things, two expansions. In addition, the title will be integrated into Infinity, the interface that will serve as a hub to bring together all the features of the game.
