‘Ballerina’ dances to the tune of revenge in new trailer for upcoming John Wick spin-off
The spin-off stars Ana de Armas, although Keanu Reeves also appears.
Guns, punches and kicks. The gritty world of John Wick returns in a new movie, a spin-off from the Chad Stahelski-directed films. This time, Len Wiseman steps behind the camera to tell a story of adrenaline-fueled revenge. During the Oscar gala, Lionsgate took the opportunity to unveil a new trailer for ‘Ballerina’, which makes it clear that no one will stand in the way of Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas). Of course, John Wick, once again played by Keanu Reeves, won’t miss the festival of fire and destruction.
What is Ballerina about?
The story of “Ballerina” revolves around Eve Macarro, an assassin who was trained as a child by Ruska Roma. This is the same organization that trained John Wick in the art of killing, so the woman is deadly. After the murder of her father, Eve will embark on a journey of vengeance in search of the culprits, but will she be able to survive her hatred? This new spin-off takes place chronologically between ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’ and ‘John Wick 4′, where the protagonist finds himself wounded after Wiston’s apparent betrayal. This feature film will tie up some loose ends that have been left hanging.
The first John Wick spin-off was The Continental, a series available on Prime Video. The world and characters will continue to evolve in new products, including the fifth major motion picture, which is in the very early stages of development.
‘Ballerina’ is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.
