Baseball with katanas? Check out the Kimetsu no Yaiba collab with MLB
After a mysterious teaser in X, MLB and Demon Slayer finally revealed their collaboration.

Tanjiro Kamado and his friends will be trading their katanas for bats, as a collaboration with Major League Baseball has been revealed. Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a very popular anime in the world; it’s one of the most watched shows and has been pretty successful with its movies. So, with its next film, Infinity Castle, releasing September 12th in the US, it makes sense to appear in one of the most popular sports in the country.
This collaboration was teased over the weekend via social media, with the logo of the league and the anime along with a coming soon. This afternoon, at 2 pm PT, (7 am Japan time), it was finally revealed what this incredible collaboration between anime and baseball, two immensely popular things in the United States, would deliver.

Breathing techniques in baseball?
This year, there will be a few baseball games between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo. So it makes sense for one of the most popular anime series and one of the most popular sports to make this sort of effort, and who knows, it could be the first of many.
As a part of the aforementioned Tokyo Series, the MLB and Demon Slayer will release a short film that is going to depict baseball’s history in Japan. We can see some of the current Japanese stars from both teams, alongside beloved characters from Kimetsu no Yaiba, in the awesome animation style from this popular show.
But why baseball? Well, baseball is Japan’s most-watched sport, and one of the most popular among Americans as well. The MLB has players like Shohei Ohtani, a monstrous two-way player that is one of the game’s best pitchers and batters and is bound for Baseball’s Hall of Fame as one of the best to ever do it. Alongside him, there are other greats like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki, and also legends like Ichiro Suzuki or Hideki Matsui, all of them great baseball players who came to America.
There’s also a teaser saying that products around the collab will be revealed soon, and MLB has already one of the best swags in sports, so we’re probably getting some cool-looking t-shirts and caps with some of our favorite characters and teams together, but we’ll tell you when they reveal more details about that.
