‘Berserk’ follows tradition and announces new manga hiatus

This April 26, 2024, the ‘Berserk’ manga returns with its 376th chapter after more than four months of hiatus. Something that was already usual in the work created by the late Kentaro Miura, and that Koji Mori and Studio Gaga have continued with long periods without the appearance of a new chapter of the manga. The return of Guts and company made us think that we would have a moment again where the work would release chapters continuously. However, this will not be the case, as Young Animal magazine and the people in charge of ‘Berserk’ have confirmed a new hiatus, so we will have to wait until June at least to get the 377th chapter.

‘Berserk’, an unrepeatable work

Characters, plot, development, drawing quality. Berserk’ is an unrepeatable and essential work that Kentaro Miura gave to the world, with panels that could be part of any art gallery, and is that, among many things, the author’s art enters through the eyes from the first moment and has not stopped evolving and going further over the years and decades that his work lasted. It is necessary to arm oneself with patience, as always, because the quality of this manga is no easy task, and it is no coincidence that the animated adaptations have never been able to live up to it.

One of the best manga in history can be enjoyed in the United States thanks to Dark Horse’s Berserk Deluxe volumes. A work that no fan of manga or anime should miss, that has been with us since the late 90′s and that, despite the death of its irreplaceable creator, those in charge of continuing it are trying to be as faithful as possible to the story and a legacy that will last for a long time in the world of manga and anime.
