BioWare teases a Dragon Age Dreadwolf presentation date with new trailer

BioWare is taking us back to the world of Thedas with a new teaser trailer, revealing a presentation date and some details for Dragon Age Dreadwolf.

Dragon Age Dreadwolf

BioWare’s work on the next installments of its most beloved sagas continues. The studio, which recently suffered a wave of layoffs, has been working on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf for a long time, which will be the fourth chapter of its RPG fantasy epic. On the occasion of Dragon Age Day, the company has shared a small teaser trailer, in which they show the world of Thedas. Although you only see a couple of seconds of footage, it serves to confirm the date on which the full presentation will take place... and we will have to wait a little bit longer, because it will be in the summer of 2024.

“Corinne and the Dragon Age: Dreadwolf team have created a game that celebrates the rich and varied past of the franchise while crafting new experiences and stories,” said Mark Darrah, the franchise’s former producer, who returned to BioWare this year as a consultant. “It has been incredible to come back to BioWare and see all of the progress they’ve made, and I’m excited for some of that world to be shared with all of you today.”

Dragon Age Dreadwolf: much more to see from Thedas

The developers have explained that the world is on the edge of a precipice. In the previous games, we only saw “a part” of this universe. While in Origins it was Ferelden, in the second installment we traveled to Kirkwall, and in Inquisition to Orlais. “This time, however, much more of Thedas is yours to see”. They describe it as a desolate place, full of beautiful barren lands with distant mountainous areas. “The twisting canals and gleaming towers of Antiva, where Crows may lurk in any shadow. The turquoise seas of Rivain with its rushes of greenery and hardy sea-faring people.”

Thedas awaits us in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game does not yet have a release date. Next, BioWare will focus on the next installment of Mass Effect. Will there be news at The Game Awards 2023?
