‘Bleach’ prepares to announce major project to celebrate 20th anniversary of anime
Tite Kubo’s work is gearing up for an outstanding final stretch in 2024.
‘Bleach’ is preparing for the premiere of the third part of ‘Thousand Year Blood War’ this coming October 5th, a highlight for the anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s work, which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its airing on the same day. To commemorate such a special anniversary, a celebration event is being prepared for September 16.
Studio Pierrot, the Japanese animation studio responsible for bringing the series starring Ichigo Kurosaki to animated life, has highlighted that “the TV anime Bleach was broadcast from 2004 to March 2012, and a total of four movie versions have been released so far. This year marks the 20th anniversary and the third anime of the final chapter, ‘Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War’. To commemorate the 20th anniversary, a special project that transcends the boundaries of the original work and anime has started.”

An event in which everything points to talk about the future of the series and there are not few who dream of a remake that will make one of the best Shonen in history reach a new audience from the beginning. Furthermore, a sequel to Bleach, which will pick up the story after the one-shot chapter ‘Bleach: No Breaths From Hell’, which continued the story and left a feeling that the adventures created by Tite Kubo could continue.
