Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 movie now has release window and first teaser date

It will be called ‘F1′ and we will see a little glimpse very soon.

Formula 1 already has a release window for its official theatrical debut. The movie starring Brad Pitt will be called ‘F1′ and will be released sometime in the summer of 2025. Although it is still a year away, the competition has confirmed that this Sunday, July 7, we will see the first teaser as part of the Silverstone Grand Prix.

What do we know about F1′, the official championship movie starring Brad Pitt?

It is no coincidence that Silverstone is the first GP chosen for the movie. In 2023, it was the location chosen to shoot footage of the actor immersed in the single-seater. Lewis Hamilton is one of the producers of a movie produced by Apple. It will be directed by a veteran of cinematography: Joseph Kosinski. The director’s track record includes such hits as ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ (2022), ‘Tron Legacy’ (2010) and ‘Oblivion’ (2013).

F1′ will tell the story of a veteran driver who comes out of retirement to help a rookie make his way in Formula 1. He will do so in a fictional team, as we have already seen in ‘Breaking Point’, the story mode of the official video game.

Pitt will be joined by acting powerhouses such as Javier Bardem, Callie Cooke, Tobias Menzies, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Sarah Niles, Eddie Eniel, Will Merrick and Samson Kayo, among others. Not surprisingly, some Formula 1 drivers will appear in the movie, such as Lewis Hamilton himself or Max Verstappen. After the Grand Circus’ attempts to bring adrenaline to TV formats such as ‘Drive to Survive’, this movie is another step in that direction.
