Bruce Campbell confirms ‘The Evil Dead’ animated series, highlights future of franchise

Several projects that will expand the horror universe created by Sam Raimi.

Ash Williams is horror film history, the protagonist of the horror franchise ‘The Evil Dead’, played since 1981 by American actor Bruce Campbell. A figure of enormous recognition who hung up the chainsaw after the completion of the ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ series in 2018, but this does not mean that he has left the saga of his life in its entirety, and is that he has recently confirmed that an animated series of ‘Evil Dead’ is in development.

Campbell admitted that the physical toll of playing Ash Williams was too much, but he would be happy to continue voicing the character. In addition to the animated series, the ‘Evil Dead’ franchise has also announced two live-action movies. ComicBook asked him specifically about that, to which he replied about the animated series, “We’re just developing it. We are, but it’s a slow-motion molasses process, so it could be years away. It’s on the hop and so are two more movies.”

‘The Evil Dead’, a historical saga

The Evil Dead’, the work of Sam Raimi, is a timeless jewel of the film industry. A saga with multiple faces, and is that its first installment is pure horror as well as the reboot released in 2013; on the other hand, the second installment adds some comedy and the third, ‘Army of Darkness’, is an absolute genius that adds large doses of action and fantasy.

In addition to his work on ‘Evil Dead’, Bruce Campbell is now preparing for the premiere of ‘Hysteria!’, the series that will premiere this coming October 18th and with which he returns to horror.
