Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 gets its first trailer and confirmation of its Day One release on Xbox Game Pass

Black Ops 6, the next Call of Duty title set to release this year, has released its first trailer and revealed details about its setting, as well as its Game Pass situation.

Update:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Treyarch por qué tiene número regreso secuela Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is leaving viral campaigns behind to finally bring things directly to the fans. Its first trailer leaves no room for doubt: Treyarch once again uses historical contexts to develop a plot full of twists and covert operations. From the Cold War we’re jumping to the Gulf War, to the confrontation against the main war actors of the time with Saddam Hussein at the head.

And yes, Black Ops 6 will debut from day one in the Game Pass catalog in all its modalities. This movement opens the way for the rest of the franchise’s installments to cascade into the subscription.

Black Ops 6 Direct: the big gameplay presentation already has a date

The video focuses on actors playing historical figures from the same period. If what you want to see is pure gameplay, this is not the right time. The debut will take place in a few days, specifically on June 9. After the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, the publishers will dedicate a space to show in detail what they are preparing for this delivery.

After Modern Warfare 3 was not greatly received, feeling more like a DLC turned into a full release with the same development issues seen from 2020 onwards, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 needs to break the series’ negative trends. It will be one of the deliveries with the longest development time. Treyarch has had a 4-year internal cycle to create the continuation of its sub-franchise.

The single-player campaign is being supported by Raven Software, an added muscle that allows Treyarch to dedicate itself almost completely to the multiplayer and cooperative aspects. Zombies mode is also set to return, although at the moment it has not been confirmed if their story arc will continue the plot seen in Cold War. Be that as it may, we are faced with a key title not only for Xbox as a whole, but to provide stability to Call of Duty as a brand.
