The first teasers of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 begin to be released

Either officially or through leaks, the upcoming installment of the Call of Duty franchise is showing its first signs of life, claiming “The Truth Lies”.

Update:
The first teasers of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 begin to be released

Every year there is a Call of Duty, that’s a reality that has rarely been broken in the gaming world for more than 20 years. And despite rumors suggesting that the franchise might take a break after the results of its last installment and the recent purchase of Activision by Microsoft, here we are, on the verge of an upcoming announcement.

The first Call of Duty Black Ops 6 teasers begin to be declassified

The first teaser related to this game was released thanks to CharlieIntel’s Twitter account, showing a live action video of Mount Rushmore being vandalized with the phrase “The Truth Lies.” Along with this teaser, an interactive website (which you can check out here) was also released, showing a television with six channels.

Shortly after, the site released a second teaser where Channel 2 shows a small clip where the same group sticks posters on the walls with the same phrase “The Truth Lies.”

And as we could expect, this was not the only thing that has come related to this new installment of Call of Duty. Not all the information has come through its official channels, but a possible piece of artwork has been leaked. The always reliable leaker @billbil_kun has revealed a blurred version of the main artwork of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on his X/Twitter channel.

This image is a clear tribute to the first Black Ops cover. The official reveal is still to come.

Call of Duty in doubt to come to Game Pass

This week we started to get the first details about whether the Call of Duty franchise would make it to the list of titles available within Xbox’s Game Pass service. According to Tom Warren of The Verge, there is an internal debate within Microsoft’s ranks about whether Call of Duty could be a candidate to be a Day 1 title on the service. The Wall Street Journal, for its part, mentioned that the company’s plan is for Activision’s shooter to come directly to the subscription service, rather than focusing directly on sales. It is worth noting that the success of Call of Duty has made it one of the best-selling titles in recent years, except the 2023 edition, which was surpassed by Hogwarts Legacy.

For now, we have to wait for Microsoft to officially announce this next installment at the Xbox Showcase in June.
