How to add a friend in Honkai: Star Rail
If you’re wondering if you can play Honkai: Star Trail with friends, the short answer is… kinda. Let’s talk about how you can do that and what social options the miHoYo Space Fantasy RPG gives us.
To unlock the Friends feature in Honkai: Star Rail, complete the quest “The Journey Continues. This quest is available after you first board the Astral Express at the end of the Prologue. After looking around the train and talking to your fellow passengers, talk to Conductor Pom-Pom after he announces that the Express is about to warp jump. This will complete the quest and unlock the Friends feature.
What are the Honkai: Star Rail social features?
As with everything, there’s a catch. Unlike Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail is a single-player game at its core. However, you can still add friends and borrow their characters to complete challenges. When you enter Calyx Mode, you can borrow a support character from your friends that has all the stats and leveling that your friend has invested in, and use it in battle. This can be a very useful way to fill in gaps in your own team’s expertise.
You can help your friends and earn credits by lending them your support characters. When one of your friends uses your support character in Calyx mode, you will receive 2,000 credits.
