Capsule Corporation Tokyo President Promises Ten More Years of Dragon Ball
Akio Iyoku, executive producer of the franchise, promises another decade of new productions based on Akira Toriyama’s work.
Dragon Ball fans can rest assured that the president of Capsule Corporation Tokyo, Akio Iyoku, has assured in a recent interview with the Japanese media Nikkei that he guarantees up to ten more years of production based on the work of Akira Toriyama. This means that the current executive producer of the ‘Dragon Ball’ franchise will do everything in his power to continue to guarantee new anime and video games starring Goku, Vegeta and company.
Dragon Ball’ Guaranteed for the Next 10 Years
“As the executive producer of a work with unprecedented longevity, my mission is to expand and pass on what the original creator of the work, Akira Toriyama, created. I will continue to produce adaptations such as anime series, movies, and video games for the next ten years. Adopting what is currently popular does not increase the likelihood of success. I will not be influenced by current trends, but will create works that I think are good enough,” said Akio Iyoku.
Thus, the head of Capsule Corporation Tokyo, the company that owns the rights to the ‘Dragon Ball’ anime and video games, intends to continue expanding the universe through different formats such as television series, movies, and video games, further distancing itself from the publisher Shueisha, which is responsible for everything related to manga, as is the case with the current series ‘Dragon Ball Super.’
The next projects based on ‘Dragon Ball’ that fans can expect this 2024 is the continuation of the manga ‘Dragon Ball Super’ after the adaptation of the movie arc ‘Super Hero’, the video game Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and the new anime ‘Dragon Ball Daima’, scheduled for next fall, all with the doubts about the continuation or not of the anime ‘Dragon Ball Super’, which was left at the end of the Tournament of Power saga.
