‘Captain America 4’ reveals our first look at Harrison Ford as General Ross alongside the new Cap

Marvel Studios has shared a peek at ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ with both of its main leads during CinemaCon.

Marvel Studios has shared the first official images of one of its biggest releases for 2025, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, with a first look at Harrison Ford as the legendary General “Thunderbolt” Ross next to the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, once again played by Anthony Mackie after the events of ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’. The picture below were shared by Kevin Feige (via Entertainment Weekly) during the studio’s presentation at CinemaCon along with another image focused only on Cap.

This is what Harrison Ford looks like as Thunderbolt Ross in Marvel

We now have our first look at Harrison Ford as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, thus replacing the late William Hurt in the same role, in what seems like a meeting between the new President of the United States (Thaddeus Ross) and the new Captain America with his new suit and the iconic shield on his back, now under the care of Sam Wilson after the Steve Rogers’ retirement in ‘Avengers Endgame’.

The other image shows us Captain America in the foreground holding the shield in what looks like a scene in a dark hallway, although this time without his superhero suit. Along with the images, new details of the plot of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ have emerged, in which Ross asks Sam Wilson to lead a new group of Avengers.

On the other hand, those responsible have assured that ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ will be closer to ‘Captain America and the Winter Soldier’ than to other more multiversal or cosmic films, with a script focused on thriller and espionage with “lots of hand-to-hand combat and several action scenes.” ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ opens in theaters on February 14, 2025.
