Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reaches 5 million copies sold and celebrates with new free content
Sandfall Interactive’s award-winning RPG expands with new content and additional languages in its upcoming update.
Sandfall Interactive has revealed that five months after the release of its celebrated and acclaimed RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the game has sold a total of 5 million copies, and its soundtrack has been streamed more than 333 million times across various platforms.
“The response to our game has been nothing short of incredible. We spent years working on our dream project, and to know it has resonated with fans around the world in such a powerful way is both wonderful and overwhelming,” Broche said in a statement. “We’re so grateful to our fans for their love of the world we created, for sharing their own fan art and music covers, for wearing their best Baguette cosplays to conventions, and for being incredibly supportive of our game.”
Alongside this news, the studio also revealed that it is working on extra content for the game. However, no date was mentioned for when it might arrive.
What will be included in the free update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
- A new, playable environment, taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover.
- Challenging, new boss battles for late-game players to overcome.
- New costumes for each member of the Expedition, giving even more customization options for players throughout their adventure.
- New text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
- Plus, even more surprises fans can look forward to.
Along with this, the above image was shared, showing a wide variety of children’s toys. If you’ve reached Act 3, you’ll notice some Easter eggs hidden throughout. While the image shows some characters, it doesn’t reveal much about what will be included in this update.
