CoD Modern Warfare 3 removes 3 maps from its multiplayer mode due to respawn cheats

Sledgehammer admits that 3 CoD Modern Warfare multiplayer maps had a respawn cheat that caused them to appear at a disadvantage after dying. The developer is already working on a fix.

Say goodbye to Quarry, Rundown and Scrapyard. At least in Hardpoint mode. And temporarily, of course. Say goodbye to playing Karachi in Cutthroat as well. At least this is what Sledgehammer Games announced on their social media, where they recognized the respawn cheat in those maps where there is a side that always appears in unfavorable positions after dying.

The maps will be removed from multiplayer and will presumably be made available again once Sledgehammer has found a solution to the problem. Considering all the maps Modern Warfare 3 has released, at least we’re covered and there’s still plenty to choose from.

The Worst Thing About CoD Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer

The map tweaks are still good news, as they are a sign that Sledgehammer is paying attention to bugs and is willing to fix them in order to balance the games and make the multiplayer experience as enjoyable as possible. The same cannot be said for this release’s controversial unlocking system, which has fans up in arms.

In CoD Modern Warfare 3, things are unlocked as usual up to level 25, but after that, the so-called “Armory Unlock” occurs and then the levels no longer matter to unlock weapons, devices, and field upgrades. At this point, to get more stuff, you have to do daily challenges, which sounds bad in itself, but on top of that, the challenges are finite and you have to play several days to get what you want. Just an excuse to grind, well.

Add to that the fact that, as our colleges in Spain wrote, CoD Modern Warfare 3 has one of the worst story modes of the series, it can not be said that our first impressions of the game are the best. Hopefully, they will change as the hours go by.
