Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 sets its release date and reveals its first details.

Update:
Call of Duty: Warzone Temporada 5 fecha primeros detalles

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 reveal the first details of the content that Season 5 will bring. The new timeframe will coincide with the reveal of this year’s premium installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is expected to star in its own special event within the battle royale. The information shared by Activision already reveals the first images and perspective.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 5: Dates and First Details

“Find out what lies beyond the shadows in Season 05 of Call of Duty Warzone & Modern Warfare 2 on August 2nd,” the company explained in a brief tweet. The season will be activated next August 2 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Along with the date we can see two images, one starring exclusively the new Operator and another where some of the weapons that will debut in both games appear.

For example, the debuting Operator wields a version of the classic Famas, an assault rifle that will be all too familiar to Black Ops fans. When the campaign was activated on the official website, the publisher noted that we would be meeting an old enemy and “celebrate 50 years of hip hop history”. The latter has been removed in the current version, suggesting that this season’s big surprise has been brought forward.

As reported by CharlieIntel, a reputable media outlet associated with Call of Duty news, rumors suggest that artists such as Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage will appear in the game as controllable operators. This is not far-fetched considering the other cross-universes we have seen in recent months. Soccer players like Neymar, Pogba and Lionel Messi have had their own cosmetic packs, while the end of Season 4 left us with The Boys event with Homelander at the helm.
