CoD Warzone to integrate Modern Warfare 3 with major gameplay changes and new map
The integration of Modern Warfare 3 into Call of Duty: Warzone will completely change the Battle Royale experience, including the new map.
Call of Duty: Warzone is being revamped ahead of its first season release alongside Modern Warfare 3. Raven is preparing major new features for this second year of content, including a new map based on a core scenario from the trilogy’s story mode. The news came out during the Call of Duty Next event held on October 5, which still gives the studio room to continue detailing what awaits us from its launch, expected sometime later this year after the arrival of Sledgehammer’s installment.
Urzikstan, the new large map of Call of Duty: Warzone
The fictional country plays a major role in the campaign mode of the Modern Warfare soft reboot trilogy. Now, Raven Software is reclaiming the scenario to turn it into the new battle royale territory. It consists of 11 points of interest that will not go unnoticed by fans of the franchise. The Orlov military base, for example, will delight fans of Call of Duty 4. We leave you with the points of interest below.
Among the new features of the map is a fully controllable train. You’ll have levers on the sides of the cars to move in the direction you want.
What is changing in Call of Duty: Warzone with the arrival of Modern Warfare 3?
Although Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10th, the integration with the current version of Call of Duty: Warzone will take a few more weeks. The battle royale will receive changes and improvements that will refresh what we have been playing for the last 12 months. The main new feature is that all the systems added to the movement of the character will be adopted. In this article we will tell you in detail what you can expect.
On the other hand, the interface washes its image to show the information in a more stylized way. We know that the ammunition will be separated from the backpack inventory and that the gas masks will be equipped manually. Previously, it was an automatic action upon contact with toxic gas outside the safe zone. More than one of our deaths was due to this. The mask will now also be able to remove the effects of the gas grenade. When swimming, you will always have a weapon in your hand. The ghost perk will only work when you are moving.
When the integration is complete, three maps will be part of the rotation: Urzikstan, Ashika Island, and Vondel, along with the classic Battle Royale, Blood Money, and Resurgence modes. It has been revealed that three new perks will be added that are exclusive to this side of the experience:
Zip lines will now also appear in horizontal format, which will increase mobility in areas where they are present (especially between buildings). We know that the qualifiers will begin in Urzikstan in early 2024. The Gulag will return to its basic layout: a simple map with three defined lines for fast and all-out combat. There is a small chance that when you enter it will be at night, which will automatically activate your night vision goggles for an even more oppressive experience. There will be four types.
Remember that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled for release on November 10th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
