Cyberpunk 2077 inspires GUNNAR’s new Dex glasses, in their latest collab with CD PROJEKT RED
The oversized frames combine Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetics with lenses designed for long screen sessions.
GUNNAR Optiks has announced a new collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED, expanding its licensed lineup with the Cyberpunk Dex. The eyewear is inspired by Dexter DeShawn, a prominent fixer in Cyberpunk 2077, and is positioned as a crossover between themed design and screen-focused eyewear, aimed at fans of the game who spend long hours in front of digital displays.
The Dex frames adopt an oversized, shield-style silhouette that mirrors the exaggerated aesthetic associated with the character. They are built using a magnesium–aluminum alloy, a material choice intended to balance durability with reduced weight. The visual finish leans into a metallic look consistent with Cyberpunk 2077’s visual identity, but the construction is clearly designed for everyday wear rather than display-only use.

Beyond its visual design, the Cyberpunk Dex incorporates GUNNAR’s proprietary lens technology, which the company states is intended to reduce exposure to blue light and block ultraviolet rays. As with other products in its lineup, the goal is to address common issues associated with prolonged screen use, such as eye fatigue and dryness.
The lenses include a G-Shield Plus coating that provides anti-reflective properties while offering resistance to smudges and minor scratches. A subtle 0.2 diopter magnification is also built in, intended to support eye focus during extended sessions that involve frequent shifts between screens and surrounding environments. The wraparound frame design further limits peripheral light intrusion, contributing to a more controlled viewing experience.

As an officially licensed product, priced at $125, the Cyberpunk Dex includes themed accessories, such as a padded protective sleeve and a microfiber cleaning cloth featuring artwork inspired by the game. The glasses are available with Amber, Amber-Max, and Sunglass lenses, offering options tailored to different lighting conditions. Overall, the Cyberpunk Dex reflects a design-led collaboration that prioritizes visual identity while retaining the functional characteristics expected from screen-focused eyewear.
