Deadpool 3: a fan animated the film’s trailer in LEGO, and the director loves it
The trailer for Deadpool 3 is already full of callbacks, easter eggs, and everything you need to hype the movie. But now it’s all that, in LEGO form.
A fan has animated the entire Deadpool 3 trailer using only LEGO, and the result is an incredible animation that has already caught the attention of the film’s director .
3D artist and animator Trevor Carlee posted the entire thing on Twitter/X (as well as many smaller teases of his work in progress), which you can find below. The video is an exact remake of the official trailer, which means you get all of the Ryan Reynolds charm and fourth-wall-breaking, plus the LEGO humor you can only get with the mini figures. It didn’t take long for the remake to get noticed, with the video already making the rounds on Twitter and beyond. And while reactions are extremely positive, one is actually impressive enough to excite every fan: Shawn Levy, the director of Deadpool 3, shared the video with the caption “This. Is. INCREDIBLE.”
Deadpool & Wolverine is Marvel’s big return to the big screen
The Merc with a Mouth dubbed himself “Marvel Jesus” in the long-awaited trailer, and many fans would agree already. The movie is set to be one of the only releases for Marvel Studios of 2024, and is a decidedly poignant change of pace for the company and the MCU with a focus on violence, gore, and adult themes.
It will also see the reintroduction of Hugh Jackman back into his role of Wolverine, which is already exciting considering the lack of Mutants in the current MCU. So far we only have theories and rumors about how everything is going to happen, because we’re not even sure which version of the character is the one we’ll be seeing in Deadpool 3.
