MCU

Deadpool 3, a ‘Very Much R-rated’ movie, halted mid-shoot by strike

The long-awaited Deadpool 3 is also suffering from the effects of the Hollywood strikes.

Update:
Deadpool 3 Marvel Studios

Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third installment of the popular antihero aims very high with great actors and a highlight for an MCU that will have before it the mutant universe of Fox. The director of the film, Shawn Levy, has conducted an interview for Deadline in which he has left very interesting details about the work. He stressed that the film was halfway through shooting when the Hollywood writers and actors strike forced to stop production, so we will have to wait, while the feelings and chemistry between actors are very positive.

Levy has spoken about the subject matter of Deadpool 3, making it clear that “our movie is raw, audacious, very much R-rated. We went to great lengths to not shoot it on soundstages with digital environments. The internet has proven that by revealing pictures of our shoot. But no, we wanted something that felt grounded and real. You put Hugh Jackman in his most iconic character alongside Ryan Reynolds in his most iconic character, I would say it’s more a descendant of Midnight Run, 48 Hours, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles than it is a descendant of Airplane.” Any doubts about how mature the movie might be after Disney acquired the rights would seem to be dispelled by these statements from the director.

Deadpool’s long-awaited arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

One of Marvel’s most irreverent characters finally arrives in the MCU in a third installment that aims to destroy everything related to the mutant universe at Fox. For this new chapter, there are no better protagonists than Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the roles of Deadpool and Wolverine, two of the most prominent mutant characters of anything that has had to do with Fox and Marvel in recent times.
