‘Delphi,’ the new series set in the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Creed’ universe, is currently in production and has already cast its lead actors. While the cast includes some relatively unknown faces, one standout is the return of one of the franchise’s most iconic characters: actor Wood Harris reprises his role as Coach Little Duke, a character he previously portrayed in the three ‘Creed’ films starring Michael B. Jordan.

Among them all, one name stands out above the rest: Wood Harris, who played Little Duke in the (so far) three-part ‘Creed’ trilogy, starring Michael B. Jordan. Everything points to this character being the anchor of this spin-off series set in the main universe, as he was Adonis Creed’s mentor at the Delphi Boxing Academy. As fans already know, “Little Duke”—the nickname of Tony Evers Jr., the character’s name—didn’t come out of nowhere; rather, it stems from the fact that he is the son of Tony Duke Sr., simply nicknamed “Duke,” who was the trainer for both Apollo Creed and Rocky Balboa.

For now, the series’ synopsis remains unknown, though Harris’s return as the owner of the Delphi Gym makes it clear that the series will focus on a new generation of boxers striving for glory while grappling with their personal demons—all very much in the vein of what we’ve seen in the franchise since its inception. Therefore, ‘Delphi’ will combine the sports genre with the personal and professional dramas of the new protagonists who want to make their way in the world of boxing.

The series is backed by Michael B. Jordan as executive producer, and Marco Ramirez will serve as showrunner. Although there is no confirmed release date yet, production on ‘Delphi’ is moving along at a steady pace, and given that the series was included in Prime Video’s 2025/2026 content lineup, a release late this year or early next year doesn’t seem out of the question. In any case, one thing is clear: with this new series, the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Creed’ universe is ready to pass the torch once again to a new group of boxers, all seasoned with the epic scale and spirit of overcoming adversity that made Stallone’s films immortal.
