Delve into Survival Horror with the newest Resident Evil board game, and enjoy this Halloween offer

As one of the pillars of horror in the world of video games, Resident Evil is always a fun franchise to revisit whenever you feel like getting some scares and excitement. With Halloween just around the corner, now more than never it’s agreat time to replay it. But how about something a little different?

Resident Evil: The Board Game is actually the third entry of the franchise into this tabletop format, once again developed by the geniuses at Steamforged Games. In this re-imagining of the Remake of the first title, you and your buddies can jump into the roles of the original series heroes: Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burton, all to explore the monster-filled Spencer Mansion and make it to morning with your life.

“Built on the survival horror engine of the previous two board games, Resident Evil: The Board Game introduces a slew of new and updated mechanics to keep you on your toes,” says Steamforged Games. “Solve ingenious new puzzles to unlock doors, build the mansion map as you explore, send non-player characters on valuable missions, and more. The setup is swift because each scenario begins with just a few tiles. As you explore and open doors, you’ll build out the map, opening new pathways and discovering useful items… and deadly enemies.”

Long lasting horror with plenty of ways to play

This Resident Evil board game comes packed with everything you need to play 19 different replayable scenarios, all of which are 60-90 minutes long with their own puzzles and surprises. But the main way to play it is through its long-format campaign.

The game is built as a campaign that’ll last you over 27 hours, where players make decisions that have consequences way down the line. Every resource must be managed, and every bullet counted. Fighting isn’t the only way to survive. You’ll have to decide when to attack and when to flee. But you won’t always get a choice!

As your campaign goes on, the mansion will evolve and the danger level will rise. The tension and encounter decks will change, adding mysterious new cards and altering the effects of old cards to make them even more dangerous. But effects don’t just happen over time. Tension cards can change enemy behaviours at any moment, making them more lethal from one turn to the next.

Resident Evil: The Boardgame is currently available on offer. Normally going for $99.99, at this moment you can get the base game for only $84.95 and have it delivered right on time for Halloween night.
