‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle’ and the streaming release date that gives the West hope
A historic hit that has yet to reach homes around the world.
The dream of millions of anime fans is getting closer and closer to coming true. ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle’ is set to arrive soon on streaming platforms, following the confirmation of its physical release in Japan on July 29 on both Blu-ray and DVD. Now, a listing spotted in Canada suggests a surprising addition of the film to the Prime Video catalog.
Many fans were expecting ‘Infinity Castle’ to debut on Crunchyroll, but Prime Video’s July release schedule in Canada ended up including the film among its upcoming releases. The information, shared by MobileSyrup, indicated that it would be available starting July 29, coinciding exactly with its physical release in Japan. Strangely, the Canadian website ended up removing the title from its lineup just a few hours later.
An Anime That Has Yet to Be Released on Home Video
The film, considered the biggest box office hit in the history of Japanese animation, has enjoyed exceptional success in theaters around the world. For months now, viewers have been hoping to watch it again at home, but its release on home video has yet to be officially confirmed.
For now, we’ll have to wait for confirmation from Ufotable or the platforms involved regarding the final streaming release date, as well as the physical release in the West. Still, the fact that it briefly appeared on a Canadian platform’s schedule suggests that the official announcement may be closer than expected.
