‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ prepares for ‘Infinity Castle’ release with unreleased animated short in theaters
Japan gears up for the highly anticipated release of the new ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle,’ the first film in the trilogy that will bring Koyoharu Gotouge’s work to a close, will be released in the United States on September 12. It is an anime that has made history in the industry thanks to its groundbreaking animation, its soundtrack that stands out from the first moment, and its story, which has managed to captivate millions of viewers.
Unlike in the West, the film will be released in Japan on July 18, but in the meantime, theaters in the Asian country will receive an unreleased animated short created by Ufotable in collaboration with Toho Cinemas. What is it about? In it, we will see Tengen Uzui, who was a pillar of sound and one of the main characters of the second season of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,’ along with his three wives inside a movie theater.
The prelude to one of the premieres of the year in the anime world
The animated short will show Tengen Uzui teaching manners when watching a movie, with the intention of having an impact on the viewers who are going to see the future release. It’s a fun way to build up anticipation before the release of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle.’
This unreleased animation will begin airing in Japanese theaters starting this Friday, June 20, and although it has not yet been confirmed in the West, it is not out of the question that it will end up arriving in some form in the future.
In the meantime, it should be noted that the first trailer for the movie will be shown in Japan on the upcoming June 28 as part of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba All Seven Nights Special Broadcast, an event that aims to celebrate the franchise and set the stage for the movie.
