Devolver Digital announces summer showcase with a birthday theme

Devolver Digital has shown us something every summer: it’s not so much what you show, but how you show it. For the past few years, this indie publisher has been able to strike a balance between showing us games that get a lot of attention and showing us games that get a lot of attention. Always with a different theme and something to grab your attention, this year’s summer showcase is no exception, with a birthday party theme.

When and what time is Devolver Direct 2024?

This year, Devolver Digital will hold its presentation... or rather the 15th birthday party of Volvy, its mascot introduced at last year’s presentation, on June 7th at the following times in the United States:

This presentation will last about 20 minutes, with Volvy’s party being “a short but sweet opportunity to gather around your loved ones and celebrate gaming’s favorite mascot without anything weird happening”. If the announcement trailer gives us any indication, it’s that there will be plenty of weird looking cookies and karaoke. What can go wrong?

As for what to expect this year, nothing has been mentioned yet, but just last year we had a look at Plucky Squire, Skate Story, and Anger Foot, among others.

Summer Game Fest 2024 just around the corner

This presentation is one of many opportunities we will have this summer to learn about the future of the industry. Upcoming games and releases for the coming months and years will be in attendance. From Geoff Kieghley’s presentation, the Xbox Games Showcase (which will later have a presentation focused on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6), as well as Ubisoft.
