Diablo 4: are the servers down? How to fix connection problems

Diablo 4, the latest Blizzard online game, is doing a great job with its launch but isn’t immune to server issues. Here’s how to deal with them.

It is not surprising that sometimes online games suffer crashes or give users problems when logging into their accounts; either because the game is experiencing too much player traffic or because of an overload of its servers. Blizzard is not free from these problems either, and although the errors are not common, they can appear.

For these cases, the best way to find out about the state of the game is to consult the Diablo IV official Twitter account, in which information about it usually appears. As another option, the Battle.net client, from which the title is executed, also offers warnings about possible problems that the game or its servers are suffering. Despite everything, we still have one last option left by visiting a third-party page dedicated to these issues, as is the case with Downdetector.

How do I fix Diablo 4 connection problems?

In the event that the connection problems to the servers are ours, Blizzard offers us a few tips with which to try to solve the problems that the game may be giving on the PC:

  • Reset your network devices to make sure your router hasn’t become flooded with data.
  • If you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
  • Update your drivers and operating system to resolve any compatibility issues.
  • Release and renew your IP and flush your DNS to resolve any network conflicts.
  • Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.

We can also check if the problem is in our antivirus, disabling the firewall in case it is the one that is causing the connection problems.
