Every Diablo 4 class: differences and which one is the best

Learn all about the different classes in Diablo IV right here, and figure out which one might be the best fit for your type of gameplay.

Update:
Diablo IV clases

Early access to Diablo IV started yesterday for all those who had pre-ordered the digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions, and one of the first and most important decisions that we will have to make is the class of our character. Either today, or next Tuesday, the game’s official launch day, we’ll have to choose between five different classes, of which we have to be clear about their characteristics and differences between them. Let’s take a look at them.

Barbarian

The barbarian has unmatched strength and masterfully wields all manner of weapons, one for every occasion. Letting out menacing war cries, slamming the ground with seismic power to shake the approaching hordes.

Attributes

  • Style: melee
  • Resource: Fury
  • Strength: 10 (ability Damage +0.1% per point)
  • Dexterity: 8 (Critical Chance +0.02% per point)
  • Intelligence: 7
  • Willpower: 7 (+0.1% resource generation per point)

As is to be expected, the most important attributes in the case of the Barbarian are Strength and Dexterity, to maximize the brutal attacks of this class.

Druid

The Druid is a savage shapeshifter who seamlessly transforms into the guise of a mighty bear or a vicious werewolf and battles other creatures. He also commands the power of earth, wind, and lightning, unleashing the wrath of nature to devastating effect.

Attributes:

  • Style: Melee and Ranged
  • Resource: Spirit
  • Strength: 9 (gain armor +1 per point)
  • Dexterity: 7 (critical chance +0.02% per point)
  • Intelligence: 0 (resource generation +0.1% per point)
  • Willpower: 10 (ability damage +0.1% per point)

There is no attribute more recommended over the rest, since the Druid is a particularly versatile class, but both Willpower and Intelligence are the most outstanding since they allow us to show off their powerful abilities and improve them.

Necromancer

Necromancers are devious summoners who command vengeful hordes of the undead. They channel their essence and use bone, blood, and shadow to defeat their enemies.

Attributes:

  • Style: Melee and Ranged
  • Resource: Essence and corpses
  • Strength: 7
  • Dexterity: 7 (critical chance +0.02% per point)
  • Intelligence: 10 (ability damage +0.1% per point)
  • Willpower: 8 (+0.1% resource generation per point)

In the case of the Necromancer, the most advisable parameters to enhance are Intelligence and Dexterity.

Rogue

The rogue is an agile and versatile fighter who can specialize in close or long-range combat. She is able to defeat any foe with her imbued weapons, unleash powerful combo attacks, and empower her arsenal with deadly poisons and shadow magic to slay demons with impunity.

Attributes:

  • Style: Melee and Ranged
  • Resource: Energy
  • Strength: 7 (resource generation +0.1% per point)
  • Dexterity: 10 (ability damage +0.1% per point)
  • Intelligence: 7 (crit chance +0.02% per point)
  • Will power: 8

Whatever your Rogue style, Dexterity is the most important stat, though if you’re going for melee, Strength is one to consider as well.

Sorcerer

From unleashing bolts of lightning to impaling enemies on jagged needles of ice to summoning fiery meteors from the sky, the Sorcerer shapes the elements to ensure victory.

  • Dexterity: 7 (Critical Chance +0.02% per point)

  • Willpower: 8 (+0.1% resource generation per point)

Obviously, in the case of the Sorcerer, the most important attribute is Intelligence, and it is the one that we are most interested in enhancing.

What is the best class in Diablo IV?

One of the biggest concerns of the Activision Blizzard team behind Diablo IV has always been to maintain a perfect balance between the five classes. Through the different betas they have been gathering feedback from the players, implementing numerous changes to all of them so that they are more or less at the same level.

That said, it cannot be said that there is one class that is better than the others, so it is best to choose the one that we like the most, the one that best suits our style of play -if we prefer melee combat, for example, or from a distance - and from there experiment with different abilities and builds.
