Diablo IV Season 1 release date, theme, and details to be revealed soon

Blizzard is getting ready to reveal the first details of Diablo IV first Season, with a live stream on the way promising a release date and more.

Lilith de Diablo IV

It’s been nearly a month since Diablo 4 was released to both critical acclaim and negative reception by fans old and new, but after the recent major update that fixed the endgame and much more, fans are now ready and hyped for what’s to come. Now, Blizzard has announced a developer live stream to reveal the future of Diablo IV.

This upcoming presentation is planned for Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m.PDT, and will include news for both Diablo Immortal, the mobile title that was released a couple of years ago, and most importantly about Diablo IV. According to Blizzard themselves, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Lead Game Producer Timothy Ismay will present Season 1 of Diablo IV, alongside quality-of-life updates to the game. A live Q&A session will also be held at the end of the live stream where fans will get a chance to get their questions answered by the devs.

No more details have been revealed as of yet about what to expect from Season 1 or from this upcoming developer live stream, but it’s expected that they’ll reveal both the theme and content of the first season, including items, quests, story, and new gameplay mechanics, as well as the launch date when players will be able to create their seasonal characters. News about Diablo IV’s Battle Pass might also be revealed.

You can watch the entire thing, as mentioned above, on Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m PDT/ 1 p.m CDT./ 2 p.m. EDT. It’ll be streamed through the game’s official channels, both Twitch and YouTube

Diablo IV is listening to feedback

Just last week, Blizzard released Patch 1.03 for Diablo IV, which included an enormous list of changes and fixes to the game that directly dealt with many bugs and glitches in the game found by the players. However, it also brought a complete rebalancing to the endgame for all classes, making them feel more powerful and also fixing the XP grind that many had been stuck on for weeks.

More changes are sure to come, but for the moment the game seems to be in well standing with its main community. Should Season 1 and beyond continue to improve on what has been delivered with the base game, it might be that we’ll see it last for a long time.

Diablo IV is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
